I need an appointment for an estimate or tree quote. How does that work? Do you offer free estimates?

Our estimates are free! Call our office at 860-234-4041 to schedule an appointment with a licensed arborist. We do require someone to be there to tell them the scope of work you are looking for, if there are any hazards or cautionary items we need to be aware of such as landscaping, hidden objects in the work zone such as septic, invisible fencing, irrigation and more.

How can I prepare for my quote appointment?

In order for us to provide an accurate quote, we need to know the scope of work you are looking for, especially if you are seeking multiple estimates from a few different companies. Things to consider before your quote appointment are:

• Do you care if there is impact to the work area, or are you looking for a no impact job?
• Do you want the wood and brush removed? Brush chipped, wood cut up and left on site? There are many ways that we can customize your work order to accommodate your needs. Also, if you are seeking estimates from several different companies we try to quote the same work order so that you have an accurate comparison
• How accessible is the area? Is there anything we need to be aware of in the proposed work zone such as septic, invisible fencing, landscaping, gates, etc.
• Do you want to plant a tree in its place?
• Do you want the stumps ground? If so, do you want the millings left behind or removed? We can also add topsoil and seed.

Do I have to be present for my quote appointment?

It is our policy that someone be present for the quote appointment. We want to ensure that we are providing an accurate estimate, and work order to our employees. Also, we need someone available to answer any questions we may have about the project.

Will I be meeting with an arborist during my quote appointment?

Yes, you will be meeting with a licensed arborist.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, we are fully insured. We are happy to have our agent send over a copy of our COI to you so that you know it is up to date.

What is your full list of services?

We are a full tree service offering everything from removal to trimming, planting, tree healthcare (pest & disease management), tree support systems (cable and bracing), stump grinding, and vegetation management such as brush hogging, forestry mulching and lot clearing. We are also a 24 hour emergency service.

I want to know more about the trees on my property, is that something you can do for me?

Yes! We can schedule a consultation. This is a walk through of your property with a licensed arborist. Our licensed arborist can give you information about what types of trees are on the property, how to care for your trees and the health of the trees. We do charge for this service, but should you hire us to do any work that may be needed as a result of this consultation, you get that amount credited back to you when you sign the proposal. I need a written assessment of a tree, or trees on my property. Do you offer that service?

Yes! There are several instances in which we are called to provide a written assessment of the trees on a property.

• tree assessment/evaluation for litigation (tree wrongfully cut down, trees on a property that are threatening another neighbor’s property
• tree assessment/evaluation for insurance companies
• tree assessment/evaluation for homeowner records
• tree assessment/evaluation for a governing body such as a condo association, HOA or other board
  other instances where a written evaluation is required

There is a fee for this. It includes a walk through of the property and assessment of trees by our licensed arborist, followed by a written report of their findings.

I had my quote appointment, now what?

You should receive a written estimate to your email within 3 business days. If you prefer a hard copy sent through the mail, it may take a few more days depending on mail speed. If you still haven’t received it, please check your spam folder or give our office a call! We are happy to assist you. If there is anything missing from your estimate, or if you need any changes made, please let us know! This will become the work order that our crew will follow when they get to your property so we want to make sure that it is correct. Should you decide to give us the opportunity to work for you, please sign (either electronically or hard copy), return to the office and submit your deposit. Deposits for regular tree work are one third, and for plantings half. We will then give you an expected time frame for when your project will take place. We work very hard to stick with our proposed schedule but please keep in mind that weather and ground conditions can greatly impact things. We will notify you by phone or email when your date gets closer with a more firm timeframe. You will not receive a date until we get a signed contract and deposit.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept check, card, ACH and also offer financing. Call us for more information!

Do I need to be home when the work is being done?

No, we do not require the homeowner to be there.

Do I need to do anything before the crew arrives?

Please make sure that full access to the jobsite is provided to our crew on the scheduled date. This includes making sure gates are left unlocked, pets are secured, and vehicles are out of the way. If there is a lot of dog poo or long grass in the yard, this can make working and clean up more difficult for our crew members so it is always appreciated if the lawn length is short and any poo is cleaned up. Please remove any objects that may be in close proximity to the trees such as bird feeders, chairs, tables and light fixtures.
